We have an exciting opportunity for a Parking and Ground Transport Manager to join our team in Darwin. You will maximise the capital value and net income from the car parking and ground transport assets owned by Airport Development Group (ADG) at Darwin, Alice Springs and Tennant Creek Airports.
About the position
- You'll lead the procurement and contract negotiation for parking and ground transport operators ensuring all legal compliance and documentation follow ADG's delegation framework.
- Define and monitor KPIs in customer experience, safety, and operational efficiency, with tools like PCI DSS aligned payment audits.
- Develop an asset strategy annually: analyze SWOT and data trends, benchmark against similar airports, and forecast income and capex over the asset lifecycle.
- Shape public parking product offerings, including drive-up and online channels improving bookings, designing marketing, and measuring impact on revenue and customer modal share.
- Build collaborative relationships with B2B clients, internal stakeholders, and transport partners to enhance connectivity and uphold ADG's reputation and compliance.
- Implement robust analytics infrastructure, including dashboards and data warehousing, to deliver real-time insight into asset performance and customer behaviour.
- Enjoy leading a team, you'll sponsor capital upgrade projects, manage risks under ADG's framework, mentor your team, and foster a safe and sustainable working environment.
Selection Criteria
- You've led asset strategy development for car parking and ground transport across multiple locations, ensuring strong performance and alignment with broader goals.
- You have managed assets and contracts for car parking and transport operations - ideally spanning more than one state.
- Proven ability to procure and oversee third‑party operator partnerships, building effective working relationships while meeting service expectations.
- Skilled at analyzing data trends to guide strategy and measure net operating performance.
- Experienced people leader - you nurture team growth, provide coaching, and foster collaborative communication.
- Hands-on experience in marketing, market research or customer insights - you translate findings into product or service improvements.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset - using creative and analytical thinking to address challenges and support strategic decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, tailoring messages for diverse stakeholders.
- Comfortable with MS Office tools, especially Excel or Power BI for data analysis and reporting.
- Effective negotiator and partnership builder, capable of aligning outcomes and building trusting relationships.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing, or a similar field, or equivalent experience.
