Our Client

Our client, a well backed and growth focused Australian gold mining company, is seeking a technically strong and hands on Senior Finance Manager to lead its corporate finance team in Brisbane. You will take full control of a lean finance function, driving reporting, compliance, treasury, and accounts with direct access to the CFO.

About the Role

This is a Monday to Friday, office-based role reporting directly to the CFO. You will oversee the full financial function and take responsibility for end-to-end reporting, statutory accounts, treasury, tax, audit, and accounts payable.

You will also work closely with the newly appointed Site Commercial Manager to improve finance systems and streamline processes around month end and supplier payments. The business operates on Pronto ERP and maintains a well-integrated planning approach between corporate and site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full financial cycle including month end, half-year, year-end, and consolidated statutory reporting,
  • Oversee treasury and short term cashflow forecasting to support operational discipline,
  • Manage tax compliance including ITR, FBT, and tax effect accounting,
  • Drive accuracy and governance across accounts payable and supplier payments,
  • Lead external audit processes and maintain strong stakeholder relationships,
  • Support and develop your team, including a Senior Accountant and AP Officer.
About You
  • CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field,
  • Proven experience leading finance in mining, resources or heavy industry,
  • Technically strong and comfortable operating at pace,
  • Confident managing lean teams and owning end to end processes,
  • Familiarity with Pronto ERP is an advantage.
