About Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS)MHDAS provides integrated and recovery oriented mental health, drugs and alcohol assessment, treatment and community support to people of all ages within the Barwon region experiencing or at risk of experiencing mental health and drug & alcohol issues, and their families. Our service emphasises client-centred, accessible and family-inclusive care, with strong partnerships for seamless integrated care.
About The FacilityMajor sites include University Hospital Geelong, the McKellar Centre precinct, Barwon Health North in Norlane and residential aged care facilities in the region. Mental health, community health and dental services are delivered across Barwon South West Region, including Torquay and Colac. The McKellar Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre supports people aged over 50 with serious mental health needs requiring acute inpatient admission.
About The Role- Opportunity to work with the dynamic McKellar mental health team
- Connect with consumers using lived experience to support recovery and community connections, and reduce re-admission risk
- Work within a supportive multidisciplinary setting and alongside the growing lived experience team in MHDAS
- Ongoing training, supervision and professional development opportunities
