The Role: Transport Allocator

The Transport Allocator plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of transportation activities, with a strong focus on customer and carrier satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer-Centric Approach:
    • Understand and anticipate customer needs to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Proactively communicate with customers to provide updates on shipments, address concerns, and gather feedback
  • Carrier Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers to ensure reliable and efficient transportation services
    • Negotiate rates, terms, and conditions with carriers to optimise cost and service levels
  • Problem Solving:
    • Identify and address any issues or challenges in the transportation process promptly and effectively
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions and prevent recurrence
