About My Client

My client is a globally recognized leader in the production of advanced mechanical rotating equipment, including blowers, screw compressors, turbo blowers, and systems. Operating as part of a renowned German parent company, they deliver comprehensive sales, project engineering, and service support across Australia, New Zealand, and surrounding regions.

With a strong focus on open communication, collaboration, and long-term partnerships, my client is continuing to expand rapidly across Australia. They are now seeking an accomplished Area Sales Manager – Queensland to spearhead business development efforts in the state, with a focus on key industries including Water/Wastewater, Cement, Food, Process, Oil & Gas, and Mining.

The Role

The Area Sales Manager will be responsible for driving strategic sales initiatives, building lasting client relationships, and overseeing the financial success of the Queensland territory. This role is pivotal in shaping the growth trajectory of my client's operations in the region.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans and budgets for the Queensland territory
  • Identify and capitalise on new sales opportunities to drive growth
  • Prepare and deliver competitive quotations and technical proposals
  • Meet and exceed financial, KPI, and sales targets
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
  • Ensure compliance with OH&S and company guidelines
  • Oversee Brisbane office/workshop operations, including sales and aftersales support
  • Foster strong, long-term client relationships
  • Lead and coordinate operational functions across the state
  • Regularly travel within Queensland and internationally for business development
Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems with solid technical proficiency
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Proven track record in industrial sales, ideally within the targeted industries
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills for relationship-building
  • Commercial acumen with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within teams and provide operational support
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Queensland and internationally when required
