Overview

UNSW Adelaide, South Australia, Australia. Lecturer/Senior Lecturer - Teaching & Research role at UNSW with a focus on clinical education within the Discipline of Critical Care. The position is part of a broader strategy to strengthen education-focused academic capacity across the School of Clinical Medicine, with teaching, curriculum development, and research leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and coordinate curriculum development across campuses (St George and Sutherland Clinical Campuses, and within the School of Clinical Medicine).
  • Lead educational initiatives and contribute to the Undergraduate Medicine Program Redesign.
  • Engage in scholarly activity and research at national and international levels; contribute to teaching, service missions, and educational leadership.
  • Provide clinical teaching, educational leadership, and potentially a focus in Critical Care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to support students from diverse backgrounds and promote equity, diversity and inclusion.
Qualifications
  • PhD in a related discipline and/or relevant work experience.
  • Medical qualification registrable in NSW with specialist training, preferably in a Critical Care field.
  • Proven ability to stay up to date with discipline knowledge and developments.
  • Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels.
  • Experience with educational technologies and online delivery methods.
  • Evidence of teaching effectiveness and curriculum design experience at varied levels and scales.
  • Knowledge of industry or work-integrated learning (desirable).
  • Ability to support students from diverse backgrounds and contribute to equity initiatives.
  • Strong research track record with high-quality outputs and leadership potential.
  • Active involvement with the profession and/or industry.
  • Excellent communication, networking, and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively across disciplines.
