Occupational Therapist - Permanent, Full Time

Tasmanian Health Service - North West Tasmania

Why Tasmania

You can start your Occupational Therapy career anywhere. What's different about Tasmania is our culture and our lifestyle. You will be encouraged to be yourself, to learn, to grow and to develop meaning in your work. You will have a powerful connection to your patients, and the community will encourage your success. Our isolation helps drive a culture of creation and human connection, which feels both old fashioned and… like the only future worth pursuing.

Tasmania, Australia's only island state, offers unparalleled natural beauty and a luxurious lifestyle. Pursuing your health career in Tasmania's public health system means building strong connections with colleagues and patients. It also means embracing a lifestyle where you can enjoy extraordinary experiences outside of work while making a significant impact on the community during work.

If you need any more convincing about our beautiful part of the world, here it is North-West Tasmania

The Role

We rotate across all of the clinical services provided at both the North-West Regional and Mersey Community Hospitals including inpatients, rehabilitation, hand therapy, paediatrics and community. We are continuously growing, developing new services and re-designing old ones. It's an exciting and rewarding place to work, featuring contemporary, evidence-informed practise that sees you closely linked to the whole multidisciplinary team. We'll look after you from the very beginning, ensure you are fully inducted and welcomed into our culture. Your fellow Allied Health colleagues, as well as the Nursing, Medical and Surgical specialists will rely on you thriving in your work and will be invested in making this a reality. Take a look at the Statement of Duties below for more details.
