  • Design comprehensive solution approaches, including road maps, product identification and delivery strategies.

  • Collaborate with multiple teams to ensure alignment and successful implementation.
Responsibilities

As a Solution Architect, you will be responsible for translating client requirements into differentiated, deliverable solutions using in-depth knowledge of technology, function, or platform. You will collaborate with the Sales Pursuit and Delivery Teams to develop a winnable and deliverable solution that underpins the client value proposition and business case.

You are expected to be a Subject Matter Expert in Utilities industry with deep knowledge and experience, possess influencing and advisory skills, and be responsible for team decisions. Engaging with multiple teams and contributing to key decisions will be essential, as well as providing solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
  • Expert proficiency in Solution Architecture is required. Expert proficiency in Requirements Analysis and Solution Planning Costing & Pricing is recommended.
  • Develop innovative solutions that align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Facilitate workshops and discussions to gather requirements and feedback from stakeholders.
  • Create comprehensive documentation that outlines solution designs and implementation plans.
  • Mentor and guide team members in best practices for solution architecture and design.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance solution offerings.
Key skills / experience
Senior IT / Engineering Professional, have worked as a Solution Architect or Engineer for at least 5 years and have greater than 10 years industry experience.

Technical skills:
  • Application requirements and dependency definition
  • Infrastructure requirements definition
  • Product identification
  • Secure design practices
  • System Engineering mindset Interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate clearly and build strong relationships across a variety of stakeholders including platform principals, sponsors, architecture review boards, vendors, technical leaders, users and product owners
  • Able to navigate large organisations
  • Provide thought and decision leadership across projects
  • Coach and lead less experienced team members Operational knowledge and experience
  • Understand Utilities Industry
  • Desirable but not essential to understand billing and legislation
  • Understand Technology and business stakeholders and processes at key clients Project
  • Familiar with IT project methodologies
  • Strong document authoring skills and experience
  • Familiar with architecture modelling tools and notation
  • Comfortable working within both agile and waterfall project methodology
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience, TOGAF certification, or similar accreditation
