Job Title: Environment & Quality Documentation Officer

We have an ongoing part-time position for an Environment & Quality Documentation Officer, based in our Warrnambool office. This position is flexible at 54 hours a fortnight and comes with a salary of $86,275.11 to $93,801.15 p.a. plus superannuation (pro rata).

About the Role:

As our Environment & Quality Documentation Officer you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining regulatory procedures and systems to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and the protection of human health.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and structure the Risk Management and Monitoring Programs (RMMP) to ensure clarity and ease of use for all stakeholders and maintain updates.
  • Incorporate health-based targets and improvement plans into the Drinking Water Quality Risk Management Plan (DWQRMP).
  • Gather and analyse data related to environmental aspects, risk consequences, and likelihoods for the Environmental and Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) Risk Assessments.
  • Develop risk assessment records and incorporate environmental performance indicators, audit results, and operational control procedures to support the RMMP and inform decision-making.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proficient in the application of theoretical, regulatory or scientific disciplines.
  • Technical expertise gained through a tertiary degree or diploma in a science or regulatory discipline.
  • Strong people skills, a collaborative approach, and the ability to build new relationships.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and excellent time management.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving abilities, and solution-oriented.
