About the role:

Kinetic IT is on the lookout for an experienced Storage Engineer to join our team supporting one of our key enterprise customers in Perth. In this role, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end delivery and support of enterprise storage environments, ensuring high availability and performance across critical infrastructure.

You'll work alongside a collaborative and skilled team, taking ownership of storage services, backup solutions, and cloud integrations, while contributing to project delivery and solution design.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Configure and maintain enterprise backup solutions using Commvault
  • Manage and present enterprise storage, including Hitachi Storage Arrays and HNAS
  • Perform Fibre Channel zoning and manage Brocade FC networking switches
  • Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve storage-related incidents and problems
  • Collaborate with internal and customer teams on project work and service improvements
  • Contribute to solution designs and documentation
  • Support cloud storage and backup services within Microsoft Azure
  • Automate and streamline tasks using PowerShell scripting
  • Maintain ITIL-aligned service practices and support change management processes

About you:

  • Demonstrated experience with Commvault in enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with Hitachi storage solutions, HNAS, and Brocade FC switches
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure, VMware, and Windows Server environments
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a focus on service availability
  • Comfortable working in a customer-facing role with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience scripting with PowerShell
  • Relevant certifications across Windows Server, Azure, or VMware are highly desirable
