CRN – Country Regional Network: Ensures the safe movement of people and goods throughout the regions of NSW, connecting Sydney to many of the State's vital regional centers. UGLRL proudly manages the operations and maintenance of this crucial rail infrastructure.
Job Purpose
As part of a maternity leave cover, you will work under the direction of the HSE Manager to effectively implement the UGLRL Environmental Management System. Your role is crucial in supporting various environmental projects, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, and promoting sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the UGLRL Environmental Management System.
- Deliver environmental planning, solutions, and coordination for Routine Maintenance and Enhancement Projects as directed by the HSE Manager.
- Support incident response and participate in investigations related to WHSE events.
- Conduct site monitoring, reporting, and review the development and implementation of all Environmental Documentation for Routine Maintenance and Enhancement Projects.
- Research public and internal databases to identify environmental risks requiring further environmental impact assessments.
- Collate sustainability data to meet UGL Corporate reporting requirements.
- Assist in developing Site Environmental Plans, Environmental Impact Assessments, and reviewing assessments.
- Tertiary Qualification (Diploma or greater) in an Environment and Heritage related discipline.
- Knowledge of Commonwealth, NSW, and ACT Environmental legislation.
- Awareness of ISO 9001/14001, ISO 31000, ISO 45001.
- Above-average computer literacy skills.
- Customer-focused, team-oriented, accountable, and results-driven.
- Excellent communication skills (oral & written), including strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels, both internally and externally.
