Business Analyst - Trading, AVP, Charles River Development

Overview

Multi-asset class order and execution management expert/business analyst to work within our product team and bring industry best practices in trading workflows and lifecycle management. This role involves understanding of complex financial instruments, analysing current systems, and designing components for future solutions.

The team you will be joining is part of Charles River Development (CRD), which became part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. What You Are Responsible For

• Apply detailed knowledge of business requirements and workflows to assist in product development.
• Research and produce business and technical requirement documents.
• Work directly with customers and the product management team to gather product requirements and develop feature specifications, involvement in all aspects of the software product life cycle.
• Partner with development to help develop, implement, and refine features.
• Plan and schedule validation tasks; provide hands-on manual tests; develop verification plans and processes.
• Provide feedback on product performance; review documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide client beta testing support and train personnel on capabilities of new product releases.
• Assist with the management of project schedules and deliverables; assist implementation and support to resolve escalated client issues.
• Actively participate in the Agile software development process by adhering to the CRD Scrum Methodology (daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives).
• Participate in group testing activities as needed.

What You Will Bring / Qualifications

• Expertise in execution workflows across Asia Pacific markets in one or more asset classes: Equity and Listed Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX.
• Front-to-back experience from trade capture to execution and lifecycle events.
• Business and system analysis and maintenance experience including triage of issues and design of solutions for development teams.
• Ability to work closely with developers to provide business insights and document system requirements and functionalities.
• Design, documentation, and solution execution experience with the ability to address business problems and work with product managers on launches of new products.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.

Education & Qualifications

• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Business with an MIS background. MS/MBA strongly preferred.
