I'm working with an awesome company that have real-world impact in various cutting-edge technologies & as a result of internal growth & workload, they're looking for someone dependable, methodical, security-conscious, and capable of thriving in a small, high-impact team.

Due to the sensitive data you'll be working around, you will be required to pass a police check, as well as apply for security clearance within a year of working here.

The ideal SysAdmin will support end users, maintain infrastructure, and contribute to long-term cyber security maturity through adherence to ACSC Essential Eight principles.

SysAdmin Requirements

  • Diploma in IT, IS or equivalent
  • At least 2+ years of IT support experience in a small business or regulated environment
  • Hands-on experience with Windows 10/11, Windows Server (2016–2022)
  • Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Print/File Services
  • Powershell scripting
  • Microsoft Exchange 2016/2019
  • Familiarity with ACSC Essential Eight and Information Security Manual
  • Strong security-first mindset (cybersecurity is fundamental)
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and prioritize effectively
  • Highly Regarded Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified, ITIL)
  • Exposure to authentication protocols (OAuth, SAML)
  • Experience in on-prem environments

SysAdmin Responsibilities

  • Daily support for end users (hardware/software troubleshooting)
  • Patching, antivirus, backup, logging & incident response
  • Maintain and harden systems according to ACSC Essential Eight
  • User account setup, permission management, auditing
  • Maintain Windows-based infrastructure (AD, Exchange, Hyper-V)
  • Participate in cyber incident response, escalate as needed
  • Contribute to policy development and IT/cybersecurity documentation
  • Support compliance with government regulations and internal security protocols
