About You

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the finance team by taking ownership of compliance and financial reporting tasks, streamlining month-end close processes, and supporting strategic finance initiatives. This position is designed to reduce the workload of the Finance Manager, improve efficiency, and enhance the finance team's ability to serve as a business partner across departments. The role will also involve implementing NetSuite process improvements and automation to drive efficiency.

About the Role

Join a National Shared Services Finance team as a Senior Accountant. In your new role, you will draw from previous experience and be responsible for tasks such as:

• Month-End financial reporting and analysis
• Preparation and review of balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparation of annual financial statements for the consolidated group
• Assist with requests from external auditors
• Reviewing all aspects of tax (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) and other compliance reporting
• Business partnering and Process Improvement
• Preparation of budgets and forecasts
• Cash flow management

Key Attributes

• CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior level
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regarded
• Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
• Strong organisational and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
• Attention to detail and accuracy
