Role: Staff Specialist - Radiation Oncologist

A highly skilled and experienced medical specialist is sought to provide expert care to patients in the radiation oncology department.

Job Type: Temporary Part Time

Classification: Staff Specialist

Hours: 32 hours per week

This role may be extended without further advertisement or interview.

The specialist will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care, upholding the highest standards of service delivery.

New South Wales Health serves diverse communities across nine local government areas, managing numerous hospitals and health services.

The specialist's primary location may vary, as agreed with the Director of Clinical Services and approved by relevant authorities.

  • Registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) is mandatory. AHPRA registration number must be provided.
  • Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent, with subspecialty experience in Radiation Oncology, Head and Neck, and Gynaecological malignancies.
  • Evidence of ongoing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality clinical services and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Experience and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and staff.
  • Professional behaviour and effective communication skills as a senior Medical Practitioner.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide high-standard clinical care in a public sector setting.
  • Research experience relevant to the department's needs.

This position falls under Category A. All applicants must review NSW Health Policy PD2023_022 and provide vaccination and pathology documentation prior to employment.
