Job title: Enterprise Architect
Contract: Initial contract through 31 December 2025 with possible extensions, 0.9 FTE, working 9 days a fortnight.
Location: Brisbane CBD, hybrid, at least one day a week working in the Brisbane office.

Our client is a prominent government organisation within the health sector, seeking a strategic Enterprise Architect to drive transformational change. Embedded within the Digital Architecture team, this role is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of Enterprise Technology Architecture that supports ICT-enabled business transformation and informs strategic planning and investment decisions. This is a high-impact, strategic position that bridges core business functions and broader stakeholder needs. Success in this role requires expertise in transformational change management, commercially driven service leadership, and strong communication and negotiation skills. The Enterprise Architect will lead the delivery of service architectures grounded in sustainability, transparency, efficiency, and lean‑agile principles, maximising the value of the services portfolio for end users and customers.

• 5 or more years experience in enterprise architecture/design within large, complex organisations.
• Proven ability to provide strategic direction that enables the delivery of sustainable, value for money, fit for purpose services and technologies that meet the business requirements of customers
• Proven ability to develop and manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate open communication, and capture and disseminate information.
• Strategic planning capability to advocate for services portfolio and technology reform.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering ICT services and solutions in a service provider or commercially oriented organisation
• Ability to provide specialist advice relating to enterprise technology architecture, influencing the broader architecture, ICT planning and any investment activities.
• Proven experience in developing, contributing to and reviewing architectural strategies, mandated principles (standards) and roadmaps that meet the strategic requirements of the health system.
• A deep understanding of public sector operations, (particularly within the health care context) and the challenges faced by public sector managers in the provision of services.
• Strategic planning capability to lead, manage and advocate for business and system reform and to drive the adoption of new services within a large, diverse and complex organisation.
• Demonstrated analytical and interpersonal skills commensurate with a complex and fast evolving service delivery organisation, including the ability to communicate with clarity and influence across a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
• Manages resource requirements to ensure an appropriate balance between tactical and strategic demands.
