Our School campus is located in the leafy inner east suburb of Canterbury, on land originally inhabited by the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation, and blends period architecture with exciting contemporary design and state-of-the-art facilities.

About The Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced VCE Chemistry Teacher who will also be involved in a pastoral role.

You will be responsible for teaching VCE Chemistry in addition to Year 7 - 10 Science. The successful candidate will be teaching alongside a supportive and experienced team of educators.

This is an ongoing, full-time position due to commence in Term 1, 2026.

There is also potential for the successful candidate to be appointed as Chemistry Coordinator, depending on experience and leadership capability.

In addition, all teaching staff are required to participate in one season of the AGSV Program by either coaching or managing a sporting team as part of their overall responsibility at Camberwell Grammar School, including other minor co-curricular involvement such as Year Level Camp and our Friday Activity Program.

You are a passionate, outstanding educator who can lead by example and model exceptional practice. You are an expert in your field and have excellent knowledge of current curriculum approaches and sound teaching practices. You have a genuine passion for fostering inclusivity and ensuring all students have equal opportunities to thrive.

You Will Also Have

• Relevant teaching qualifications
• Certificate of Teacher Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching
• Experience teaching VCE Chemistry
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in working with students, staff and parents
• Outstanding planning and organisational skills coupled with adaptability to deal with the unexpected
• Experience in the delivery of pastoral, academic and co-curricular programs and fostering a dynamic learning community committed to the development of the whole person
