Overview

HV Electrician - Field Service role at Komatsu Australia. Roster: 7 on / 7 off, rotating day & night shift at 12 hours. Role located: Dawson Mine.

Responsibilities
  • Perform high-voltage electrical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing Komatsu's heavy equipment and other machinery, ensuring safety, quality, and operational reliability.
Qualifications
  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology or equivalent
  • Proven experience as an HV Electrician in the heavy equipment industry, with a focus on electric vehicles, ideally Komatsu machinery
  • Strong knowledge of high-voltage electrical systems and components, including inverters, converters, motors, and high-voltage batteries
  • Familiarity with relevant safety standards and protocols for high-voltage systems
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for troubleshooting
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • HV switching certification is highly desirable
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics
