The Opportunity

Northern Private Hospital is seeking a Theatre Technician to work as part of their Theatre Team. This is a permanent full-time opportunity. Your duties will include:

  1. Prepping surgical theatres for various procedures
  2. Performing cleaning and sterilising duties
  3. Assisting in the theatres as required by clinical staff
  4. Maintaining surgical equipment and implements
  5. Transporting and supporting theatre patients
Your Skills and Experience

To succeed, you should be enthusiastic, passionate about customer service, and enjoy working in a busy team. You will also need:

  1. Minimum 3 years of Tech experience within an operating theatre (Essential)
  2. Certificate IV in Operating Theatre Technician Practice/Health Services Assistant or equivalent (Essential)
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  4. Ability to work in a diverse team
  5. Flexibility to work rotating roster
  6. Understanding of infection control and manual handling procedures
