Senior Data & Analytics Consultant

We're on the lookout for a Senior Consultant with strong Data & Analytics experience to join a growing team in Melbourne. To be eligible, you must have full permanent working rights in Australia and a minimum of five years of hands-on industry experience in the data space.

What You'll Be Doing
  1. Leading Data Solutions – Working closely with clients to design and implement analytics strategies tailored to their business needs.
  2. Developing Scalable Data Models – Building and optimising data models that enhance decision-making and operational efficiency.
  3. Driving Data Transformations – Leveraging SQL-based tools like dbt and Coalesce to structure and refine datasets.
  4. Managing Data Pipelines – Overseeing ETL/ELT processes to transform raw data into actionable insights.
  5. Delivering Business Intelligence – Integrating and managing tools like Power BI, Tableau, and Looker to enable effective reporting.
  6. Ensuring Data Integrity – Implementing governance frameworks to maintain accuracy, security, and quality.
  7. Collaborating Across Teams – Partnering with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to embed data-driven decision-making.
  8. Mentoring & Development – Supporting junior team members and contributing to the ongoing growth of the organisation.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Advanced SQL skills (5+ years) – ability to write complex queries, manage large datasets, and optimise performance.
  • Strong expertise in cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Fabric, or Databricks.
  • Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes and modern transformation tools (dbt, Coalesce).
  • Experience creating impactful data visualisations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
  • Excellent communication skills – able to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • A track record of delivering data-driven solutions that provide tangible business value.
Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with machine learning or advanced analytics techniques.
  • A passion for data storytelling, making insights accessible and engaging.
  • Strong understanding of data governance to ensure compliance and quality.
