Job Description

We are seeking a talented and passionate Senior Paediatric Physiotherapist to be part of our multidisciplinary team in Newcastle.

You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, evidence-based physiotherapy services to children with a wide range of developmental and physical needs, making a significant difference to their development and wellbeing.

We will provide you with a bucket load of structured supervision, mentoring and CPD opportunities - as well as opportunities to provide this support to junior staff if this is an area of interest.

No two days are ever the same You might find us in childcare centres, schools, day programs, homes, in the pool or at the park, and/or our clinic spaces. You might find us assisting someone to sit, stand or walk for the first time, teaching new gross motor skills so they can be included in play with their peers or prescribing assistive technology to increase their independence with their daily life. Successful candidates will be providing supports to cover NDIS participants living in Newcastle & surrounding areas.

Responsibilities

On a daily basis, you will be:

  • Managing an allocated paediatric caseload and completing therapeutic services in a timely manner
  • Providing assessment of participants' developmental and physical level of function and capacity through clinical observation and standardised assessments
  • Interpreting findings to formulate treatment and therapy goals unique to each participant
  • Providing holistic evidence-based therapeutic interventions to help participants get more out of life
  • Maintaining awareness of current legislation to ensure compliance
Qualifications

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload
  • A pro-active attitude and interest in continually developing your skills
  • A genuine passion for working in the disability sector
