Disability, Student Support is seeking a highly motivated Principal Project Officer to join our Disability Reform team In this role, you'll provide high-level strategic advice on key reform initiatives, including the Youth Engagement Education Reform package and the Queensland Government's response to the Disability Royal Commission. You'll also lead and contribute to project teams focused on developing and delivering impactful implementation and support measures that make a real difference in schools and regions.

The Disability Reform team is a small team that provides high level strategic advice on key disability reform initiatives, including implementation of recommendations from the Disability Royal Commission.
About The Role
As a Principal Policy Officer, you will play an important role in supporting disability reform in Queensland. Key responsibilities:
- Establish productive education networks and maintain positive relationships and partnerships with team members, Regional Offices, schools and a range of internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare briefing materials, correspondence, submissions, papers and reports on related activities of the branch
- Develop, promote and facilitate the implementation of state wide policies, guidelines and practices
- Develop strategies and work in partnerships to embed principles and strategies for effective education in response to the needs and capabilities of learners
- Support relevant regional and school-based personnel to deliver programs and relevant strategies
- Ensure effective communication, integration, coordination and liaison occurs within the Division, across the department and with other external stakeholders
- Undertake ongoing research and analysis of contemporary issues as they impact on the education sector and students
The ideal applicant will have the following key attributes:
- High-level writing skills and an ability to effectively and concisely summarise pertinent information to enable informed decision-making
- Well-developed analytical and conceptual skills and a proven ability to present complex concepts clearly
- The ability to work as part of a small team to produce results

- Attach a 2-page written statement in response to the attached role description
