Fixed Plant Mechanical Planner Role at Concentis

About the Role

We are working with a Tier 1 mining company to find a skilled Fixed Plant Mechanical Planner to join their diverse Maintenance Planning & Engineering team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Review and prioritize maintenance notifications, providing feedback to originators on status
  • Estimate labour requirements and equipment downtime for planned maintenance activities
  • Detail planning of work orders and assign resource requirements for approved non-urgent work
  • Monitor and update maintenance history, damage, cause, and functional failure data
  • Initiate warranty and repairable/rotable processes for non-urgent corrective work
  • Review work schedules considering asset criticality, statutory work, warranties, and safety impact
  • Identify potential scope conflicts and repackaging activities as needed
  • Arrange external contractors and suppliers for planner-driven work
  • Participate in work management meetings to review and mature plans into executable schedules
  • Ensure work order or maintenance task lists are updated accurately
  • Facilitate cost performance reviews for planners and escalate major variances from plan
