Whether it\'s offering a listening ear, providing companionship, helping with lifestyle activities or simply sharing a friendly smile, your time and your presence can make a powerful difference.
Responsibilities- Provide companionship and friendly social interactions with residents
- Facilitate lifestyle activities such as board games, music, craft, art and social engagement
- Participate in social outings, including accompanying residents on bus trips
- Assist residents with gardening activities
- Support residents during meal times
- Be part of a compassionate, mission-driven health care team
- Support residents, their families and staff in meaningful ways
- Develop new skills and grow personally
- Experience the reward of giving time and kindness
We have a wide range of roles to match your interests and availability, including:
- Companionship – friendly social visits with residents, conversations or walks
- Lifestyle activities – board games, music, craft, art and social engagement
- Social outings – accompanying residents on bus trips
- Gardening – assisting residents with gardening activities
- Meal times – assisting and supporting residents during meal times
Located in picturesque South West Rocks on the NSW mid North-Coast, Calvary The Mariner offers both permanent and respite accommodation for ageing persons. Volunteers have always played a vital part in resident care – complementing the care provided by our care staff.
