Cognizant is seeking a SAS Developer to join our growing team. In this SAS Developer/Solution Engineer role, you will work to understand client business requirements and contribute to the development and testing of SAS applications for use in model build data preparation and monitoring. You will work closely with business units to understand risk-related data elements, including the certification of relevant reference data and metadata. Your role will involve verifying source system data and certifying any derived measures used by the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and testing of SAS applications for use in model build data preparation and monitoring.
  • Build and nurture capabilities to ensure robust application development in complex technology-domain areas.
  • Perform validation and testing to ensure programs and applications function as intended, including unit testing and regression testing.
  • Identify risks, issues, potential defects, or defects in any phase of the project life cycle and manage them through closure.
  • Understand customer pain points and technical challenges impacting business or customer experience.

To be successful in this role your soft skills and experience should include:

  • Experience in various SAS applications using SAS Base, Advanced, and SAS macros.
  • Experience in the areas of development, enhancement, and testing of applications, coupled with good database knowledge, programming, reporting, and testing skills.
  • Knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to assure proper validation for the design, development, implementation, and testing of specifications and coding of various SAS modules.
