Our Townsville Home and Community Service are currently seeking dedicated Home Care Workers to join our team in a permanent part-time opportunity.

We are committed to providing essential support to our older population, enabling them to live comfortably and independently in their own homes. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients.

About the role:

  • Personal Care: Assisting clients with daily hygiene and grooming needs.
  • Medication Management: Supporting clients in taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Transportation Services: Facilitating clients' attendance at appointments and social events.
  • Domestic Assistance: Providing help with light housekeeping and meal preparation.
  • Social Engagement: Encouraging participation in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.

About You

  • Empathy and Compassion: A deep understanding of the needs of older adults.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage effectively with clients and their families.
  • Organisational Skills: Proficiency in managing time and supporting clients with their daily routines.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: A willingness to accommodate varying client needs and preferences.

Minimum qualifications required include:

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent
  • Current National Police Certificate
  • Current driver licence and your own, reliable vehicle
  • Completion of Assist clients with medication (or commitment to obtain)
  • Completion of Recognise healthy body systems (or commitment to obtain)
