This position may be extended at the discretion of SESLHD without further advertisement or interview.
The specialist will provide expert medical assessment and management of patients within the department/service. Our staff aim to deliver excellence in healthcare, upholding high standards of care for patients, families, and visitors.
SESLHD serves diverse communities across nine Local Government Areas, managing eight hospitals and various health services including community health, mental health, and public health programs.
Primary location may vary as agreed with the Director of Clinical Services and approved by MDAAC.
Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA). Provide AHPRA Registration Number.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists or equivalent, with subspecialty experience in Radiation Oncology, Head and Neck, and Gynaecological malignancies.
- Evidence of ongoing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality clinical services and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Experience and commitment to teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students and staff.
- Professional behaviour and effective communication skills as a senior Medical Practitioner.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and provide high-standard clinical care in a public sector setting.
- Research experience relevant to the department's needs.
This is a Category A position. All applicants must review NSW Health Policy PD2023_022 and provide vaccination and pathology documentation to certify compliance prior to employment.
