Job Description

The Veterinary Referral Hospital has been providing veterinary referral and emergency services to the pets of Melbourne for over 25 years. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest standards of veterinary medicine and customer service.

Our hospital is a purpose-built 24-hour ECC and referral facility equipped with all the necessary gadgets to ensure you can practice at your best and continue to learn new skills. We have the only truly multi-disciplinary veterinary team in Victoria, including specialists in Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, Diagnostic Imaging, Neurology, and Anaesthesia. Our caseload is varied, interesting, and often challenging.

Our team comprises ECC vets including 3 ECC specialists (FANZCVS and DACVECC), 1 ECC Registrar (residency-trained veterinary associate), ANZCVS Membership veterinarians, experienced emergency veterinarians, and recent graduates. Our ECC nurses are passionate, hardworking, and dedicated to high patient care standards.

  • Is comfortable working sole charge and managing routine emergencies
  • Is eager to learn to manage complex patients under supervision
