Trainer and Assessor for Aged Care

Aged Care Trainer and Assessor Role

We are seeking an experienced Aged Care Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Melbourne.

The role requires:

  • Workplace assessors (CIII & CIV) who can start immediately
  • CIII IS trainer & assessor

Key Responsibilities

Trainers and assessors will:

  • Inspire and deliver programs using knowledge, experience, and comprehensive learning materials
  • Provide support and feedback for successful program completion
  • Monitor, mark, and conduct student assessments
  • Plan, review, and improve training and assessment
  • Participate in assessment validation, moderation, and continuous improvement
  • Conduct workplace visits during student placements

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful, you will have:

  • A strong passion for aged care and teaching
  • Experience in training or lecturing, although not essential
  • Confidence and motivation to deliver high-quality face-to-face and online education
  • Sensitivity to adapt teaching styles for diverse cultural backgrounds
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong time management and multi-tasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
  • A relevant vocational qualification in Aged Care at the Diploma or degree level
  • Preferably a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in the industry
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 or higher
  • Current Police Check
  • Language Literacy and Numeracy level suitable for teaching
  • Medical certificate or flu vaccination document (if required by the host organisation)
