Your job is to help us get there

We have grown organically and become profitable through hard work and launching several market-leading products. We have lots of new work in the pipeline and we are looking to double in size over the next 12 months and take everything to the next level. You will join an exciting and agile environment with a start-up feel but also somewhere you can have confidence in the stability of the company because we have been around for many years, had lots of success, we\'re very profitable and we have won multiple awards - including been listed as one of the fastest-growing tech companies in Australia. We invest heavily in our tech team and all investment and profit is invested straight back into the business to achieve growth and to help us improve our products via R&D.

As our CTO, you will be responsible for the entire development lifecycle, the architecture, and the leadership of the current tech team. You will be working closely with "C" level executives and founders to continue to build the technical and development capacity in line with the growth and evolution of our products.

Your average day will include:

  • Architecting and guiding future products and development.
  • Leading and providing technical guidance for the development team.
  • Developing logical architectures for current and future products using best practice design principles.
  • Educate, coach and nurture the development team by sharing your knowledge and expertise.
  • Recruit, hire and scale your team, maintaining diversity.
  • Actively lead stand-ups and workshops.
  • Report directly to the Founders.
  • Taking new products to market.
  • Scaling our Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning team.

About you, your experience and behaviours:

  • Proven track record as a CTO (or similar role - VP, HOE, etc)
  • Ability to take products to market and scale them
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Remarkable attention to detail
  • High EQ and people leadership experience
  • Strong understanding of product commercialisation.
  • Able to coordinate between Sydney and overseas teams
  • Ability to quickly identify and resolve issues
  • Ability to lead a development team and grow a strong working relationship within your team
  • Drive innovation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Experience developing web applications with technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React.js, Python, Golang, Node.js, AWS, GCP, etc
  • Bonus points if you have experience with SRE, DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
