Key Responsibilities:
  • Planning and Management: Develop and manage the activities of the Powder R&D Department in alignment with the Powder Business Plan to meet business objectives.
  • Product Development: Ensure the timely delivery of current and new product developments according to Sales and Marketing Plans, contributing to sustained business growth.
  • Product Trials: Oversee product trials to ensure they meet customer specifications and expectations, maintaining high standards of quality.
  • Implementation: Communicate technical aspects impacting manufacturing processes to ensure right-first-time production, enhancing operational efficiency.
  • Technical Support: Provide comprehensive technical support and training to sales staff, internal stakeholders, and customers, optimizing product performance and fostering strong customer relationships.
  • QHS&E Management: Manage Health, Safety, and Environment Plans and Product Stewardship programs within the laboratory to achieve site objectives and targets.
  • Staff Development: Foster the development of staff within the Powder R&D Department, promoting individual and business growth and improving engagement.
  • Compliance: Design and maintain internal controls to meet audit compliance standards, ensuring adherence to corporate and site objectives.
What you need to have:
  • Formal degree in Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Chemical/Powder Coating Industry with proven laboratory or technical management experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent planning and organizational abilities
  • Proficient in technical communication and problem-solving.
  • Knowledge of QHS&E standards and compliance requirements.
