About The Client
Our client is a leading hotel group known for delivering exceptional guest experiences across Asia-Pacific. As they expand their footprint in Australia, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic HR Director to lead their Sydney-based team and shape the future of their people operations. Candidate from a hospitality background and proficiency in both English & Chinese required for this role.

About The Role
We're seeking a dynamic HR Director to lead a team of five and drive a full-spectrum HR agenda. This is a high-impact, EXCOM-level position reporting directly to the Hotel General Manager and functionally to the Group HR Director. The role covers:

  • End-to-end HR generalist responsibilities including recruitment, employee relations, and policy development
  • Revamping and upskilling the HR team to align with best practices
  • Streamlining workflows and modernizing HR policies
  • Designing and implementing a robust training curriculum
  • Collaborating closely with other EXCOM members to foster a high-performance culture

This is a rare opportunity to shape the people strategy of a flagship property while contributing to regional HR excellence.

Requirements

  • Proven HR leadership experience within large international hotel groups
  • Strong understanding of Australian labour law and multicultural workforce dynamics
  • Proficiency in both English and Chinese
  • Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic mindset with hands-on capability to drive change and elevate HR standards
