The Opportunity:

Our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages (FACD) practice in Australia continues to see success and has rapidly expanded in headcount at the start of 2025. As a result, we are looking for qualified accountants with proven experience in forensic accounting to join our team in Sydney or Singapore.

You will be mentored by our world-leading Expert Witnesses in best practice and will be able to pursue multiple pathways in your career, whether you want to be a technical subject matter specialist, or to testify in the witness stand. HKA will assist you along your journey with a supportive network, and a generous tuition reimbursement scheme.

This is an opportunity to work on disputes, forensic accounting, investigations and valuations projects across Australia and the Asia Pacific region in a variety of industries.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in the production of expert reports.
• Researching and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Conducting financial analysis and investigations.
• Developing financial models from transactional and financial data.
• Using relevant software tools for research and analysing data.
• Communicating results and work product as appropriate, internally and externally to clients.
• Assisting in client events and business development.

Skills and Experience:

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

• You are a strategic thinker who is comfortable working through ambiguity and loves an intellectual challenge.
• You have proven experience in Forensic Accounting, with exposure to investigations, disputes, data analytics and/or damages.
• You have strong problem-solving skills, and an attention to detail.
• You have exceptional written and communication skills.
• You enjoy a collaborative team environment, where we all contribute our ideas.
• You have integrity and want to be part of a highly supportive team with strong family values.
• You have a strong focus on learning and development – both being coached, and coaching others.
• You will be a Qualified Accountant or have similar qualifications.
