Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 Sexual Health Hepatitis – Permanent Full Time, 38 hours per week. Location: Broken Hill. Salary: $113,243.15 - $116,963.48 + Superannuation. Annual Recruitment Incentive Package up to $10,000 (conditions apply, pro-rata'd to contracted hours; paid fortnightly) under the NSW Health Rural Health Workforce Incentive Scheme. Employment Type: Permanent Full Time. Position Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2.

What You'll Be Doing

• Provide safe, compassionate, person-centred care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care in collaboration with individuals and the multidisciplinary health care team to achieve quality care outcomes for patients and clients in Sexual Health Services.
• Provide high-level nursing care, contact tracing and client follow-up, health promotion and prevention interventions for people at risk of or presenting with sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and blood borne viruses (BBVs) as per local and state policies.

What You'll Need (Qualifications and Skills)

• Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
• Approved post-registration qualifications in a specialty field with at least 3 years' full-time recent experience in the clinical area; ability to undertake further studies in Sexual Health and HIV as required.
• Advanced knowledge of transmission and prevention of STIs and BBVs, including viral hepatitis and harm minimisation principles.
• Ability to carry out an extended role with autonomy in nursing practice development and service delivery.
• Clinical consultancy skills, ability to work autonomously, take responsibility and prioritise work.
• Experience in developing and conducting educational sessions and clinical teaching.
• Functional knowledge of data management and high computer literacy.
• Current unrestricted NSW driver's license and ability to work across locations within the Far West LHD.
