About the Northern Health Pharmacy Department

The department comprises over 100 pharmacists and 30 technicians to provide clinical, operational, quality and informatics services with a strong focus on workforce culture and commitment to professional development. We are currently undergoing a period of expansion which provides unique opportunities for specialisation including pharmacist and technician advanced-scope roles, collaborative multidisciplinary programs and services, award winning medicines stewardship programs (e.g. analgesics, anticoagulants, antimicrobials and transitions of care) and care beyond hospital walls. Education and development of pharmacists are supported through structured and accredited intern, resident and registrar training programs.
