Ready to take the next step in your career and lead? Our Senior Occupational Therapist positions offer leadership, autonomy, and the chance to shape practice at Based.
What you will do:
- Hold a mixed caseload with complex clients across psychosocial disability, mental health needs, paediatrics, and physical disability
- Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior occupational therapists
- Lead functional capacity assessments, home and living assessments, short-term accommodation reports, independent living option reports, and complex assistive technology and home modification recommendations
- Contribute to service development, team growth, and quality practice initiatives
- Enjoy autonomy in managing caseloads with strong administrative support
Who you are:
- Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with at least 3–5+ years of experience
- Motivated, proactive, and values-driven
- Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
- Confident working with participants with psychosocial disability and mental health needs
- Interested in leadership, supervision, and contributing to team direction

Contracting Opportunities
For experienced occupational therapists who prefer a contracting model, we also offer opportunities to provide services on a flexible contracting basis. These roles focus on functional capacity assessments, supported independent living assessments, specialist disability accommodation assessments, and independent living option reports. Experience with these types of assessments is vital. Contracting work can also involve ongoing client visits where appropriate. Rates can be discussed further during the interview process.
