Manager, Mergers & Acquisitions Advisory

Friday Capital is currently seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Manager to join our deal advisory team, which focuses on supporting private and family-owned middle market businesses across Australia to achieve their growth and value realisation ambitions.

In a small team with a flat organisational structure, you will work directly with the Partners & Directors providing advice on buy-side and sell-side mandates, equity and debt capital raisings and strategic/growth consulting.

The role involves:

  1. Advising clients on M&A transactions in the private middle market across Australia

Friday Capital is led by a team of highly experienced Partners and Directors with experience across mergers & acquisition advisory and investment banking, private equity investment and strategy consulting.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Support Partners & Directors in managing M&A engagements from proposal development and client pitching, right through to transaction completion.
  2. Take carriage and responsibility of key transaction process deliverables, including:
    1. Business valuations including comparable multiples and fundamental value analysis;
    2. Marketing materials preparation, including Information Memorandum's and management presentations;
    3. Buyer research and buyer list development;
    4. Dataroom management, including information collation and setup;
    5. Due diligence and Q&A management.

·Support senior leadership in business development and firm building activities which will include BD meeting preparation and attendance, industry and company research, pitch/proposal development.

·Provide training and mentoring to junior team members.

·Build and maintain key client relationships, both with existing clients and potential new clients.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills

  1. Minimum of three years' mergers and acquisitions experience gained in a professional services, advisory or investment banking environment
  2. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify business models, key value drivers and risks across various industry sectors
  3. Strong financial modelling, valuation and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  4. Problem-solving skills, approaching challenges with a solutions-focused mindset
  5. Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken communication, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, buyers, other advisors and other key stakeholders
  6. Qualification and/or professional accreditation in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance
