100% Remote Work (Work From Home) Opportunity in an Australian Engineering Consultancy.

You will become part of a growing engineering consultancy in Australia which provides services to major oil and gas and heavy industries in Australia.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical engineering calculations/analysis in a timely manner
  • Read and interpret old/new engineering drawings
  • Highly responsible in keeping confidentiality of client information
  • Models and engineering drawings generation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Good command over English language.
  • Ideally 10+ years of experience but young engineer with the right skillset will not be disadvantaged
  • Previous experience in a mechanical design consultancy would be favourable
  • Industrial trainings or certifications in softwares and industrial standards (desirable).
  • Understanding of ASME and API standards related to pressure equipment and piping.

Computer Skills

  • FEA (Ideally ANSYS)
  • Pipe stress analysis (autopipe, Caesar II, StartProf etc)
  • 2D drafting
  • Codeware Compress/PV Elite
  • MATLAB, PYTHON (not required but desirable)
  • Can-do attitude, warm personality, highly responsible
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity

  • High Specification PC to run engineering softwares
  • Reliable and high speed internet connection
  • Quiet office space to attend regular meetings without interruption
