The Role

Based at our Glendenning location, we are seeking individuals aspiring to be, or already are HR Licensed drivers, to join our team as part of our Container Deposit Scheme team.

As a HR Driver You Will Be Responsible For
  • Rear lift collection vehicle operations
  • Loading and unloading bottles and cans through the Container Deposit Scheme
  • Delivering loads to nominated recycling and disposal facilities
  • Maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Maintaining the vehicle's presentation inside and out
  • Comfortable with a level of manual handling
  • Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing

To address gender gaps in the waste management industry, Cleanaway runs a Driver Academy for Women to support female identifying or non-binary persons. The program includes licencing and training to become a HR licensed truck driver.

Paid 5-week Training Program Will Include
  • Obtain Heavy Rigid Licence (HR)
  • Uniforms and PPE
  • Training to become a driver
To be part of the program
  • Hold a current unrestricted driver's licence for a minimum of 24 months
  • Driving History Check with a minimum of 8 demerit points remaining
