Overview

Responsibilities
  • Prepare patient food trays and beverages, and assist with food preparation as directed by the Manager and chef.
  • Prepare special dietary meals for patients as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness within the department in line with food safety, infection control, and hospital standards.
  • Provide high standards of quality and service to patients and customers; work as part of a positive team under the supervision of the Hotel Services Manager.
Qualifications
  • High attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively; able to work independently or in a team as required.
  • Previous experience as a kitchen hand; knowledge of kitchen operations; understanding of food safety and hygiene principles.
  • Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, and Workplace Health and Safety regulations.
  • Certificate III in Health Support Services and a Food Handling Certificate are highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of food allergies and special diets is helpful.
  • Ability to work morning, afternoon, weekend, and public holiday shifts.

Requirements
  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
  • Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases, depending on the role.
