Efiniti Telecommunications Services is a lead supplier of professional services in the Telecommunications and Information & Communications Technology (ICT) industry. Efiniti is an Australian owned and based company that specialises in these fields across three business sectors — Carrier & ICT, Corporate & Government, and Technology Vendor.
We are looking for an IT Support Officer to join our ICT division team as we expand our ICT services. In this role you will be responsible to support internal IT team as well as managing ICT Projects and coordinating with our clients.
Responsibilities- Participating in long-term and medium-term decisions concerning the organisation's ICT direction, requirements, and day-to-day operations
- Developing and maintaining internal IT policies e.g., Data Breach, Business Continuity, BYOD
- Monitor, contribute and support the IT department; ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are updated, in place and followed
- Support incident management by ensuring IT infrastructure service is restored promptly and effectively, minimising adverse effect on business operations
- Install and configure operating systems and other software; routinely testing installed software for glitches
- Process IT infrastructure design within agreed timeframes including routine and ad-hoc administration and performance checks on infrastructure systems and data-centre environments
- Ensure all systems and services delivered to our client in a timely manner, comply with business requirements including monitoring, reporting, training, and documentation
- Maintain a close working relationship with various teams, clients, higher management, and project managers to achieve desired outcomes
- Provide dedicated on-call support and be available through multiple communication platforms with rapid response times, including potential odd hours or at-home support
- Degree/Tertiary qualifications in IT Management/Computer Science, including at least 3 years IT experience at a senior level
- AWS or Microsoft Azure certification would be highly regarded
- Proven track record in IT project management, people management and leadership skills, with strong planning and budgeting abilities
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP Network Technology and Management (CCNA or CCNP level)
- Experience with networks and security vendor firewall appliances (e.g., Cisco, Netgear, Fortinet, Sophos)
- Windows Desktop Support Environment: Windows 10, MS 365 App Suite, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams; O365 Administration
- Experience with NAS storage (e.g., Synology, Thecus), network printers, WAP
- Office 365 products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, Teams)
- Active Directory management tools
- Knowledge of disaster recovery applications (e.g., Veeam)
- Remote support (VPN, RDS) and VOIP/SIP
- Microsoft certification
- ITIL
We're looking for candidates with the desired skills and experience but not limited to:
- Preferable to have a degree (IT, Computer Science)
- Strong communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical issues using non-technical language
