Overview

Cleaning Assistant – St Johns, Catholic Healthcare. Casual opportunities available. Salary from $29.50 per hour plus casual loading and superannuation. Not-for-profit employer, so pay less tax.

Location and shifts
  • St Johns, New Lambton
  • Shifts available: Week 1 — Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 8am–2pm; Week 2 — Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday 8am–2pm
Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a team to ensure a high standard of cleanliness and presentation in residents\' rooms
  • Support peers and maintain a cooperative team spirit
  • Work in a safe manner to protect yourself, colleagues and residents, closely following all policies and procedures
Qualifications
  • A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Previous experience working as a cleaner is desirable
  • Warm and empathetic interpersonal skills with experience interacting with a wide range of people
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
  • A reliable team player
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively
  • Willingness to apply for a Police Check and NDIS clearance
