Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the maintenance of our existing customer base and its subsequent growth and retention.
  • Work in close consultation with the BDM to pass on validated new business leads and receive retention leads.
  • Act in a timely manner to maximise opportunity for a positive outcome.
  • Customer visits for retention must be done within 24 hours of receiving notification of dehire.
  • Customer visits for resigns must be done within 6 months of current contract expiring.
  • Attend the monthly Sales Meetings as run by the Sales Manager.
  • Work closely with line Manager, identifying key areas / customers to address proactively and providing timely feedback on retention activity outcomes.
  • Seize opportunities with existing or previous customers to upsell and add new products and / or product sizes to the account.
What You Will Bring
  • A passion for sales, through retaining business and developing new business.
  • 2 years previous experience in a similar role ideally from commodity/energy markets; FMCG and other markets also advantageous.
  • Proven track record of managing a territory and achieving sales results.
  • Strong customer-centric behaviours: initiative, discipline, accountability, collaboration.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including written and verbal, effective at eliciting desired outcomes.
  • Tenacity and resilience to cope with rejection whilst persisting to achieve the best possible outcome.
  • Organized, competent at multi-tasking and prioritizing to address workload in a timely manner.
