Overview

Veterinary Criticalist - ARH Greater Western Sydney — Mount Druitt, New South Wales, Australia. This position is associated with The Animal Referral Hospital at Minchinbury, western Sydney, the fifth Specialist and Emergency Hospital (opened September 2023).

You will be working in a brand-new purpose-built veterinary hospital with access to diagnostic imaging (high-field MRI, CT, Fluoroscopy, Endoscopy and Ultrasound), an ICU, three operating theatres, integrated RX works, and Smartflow to support patient management. The facility also provides dedicated training facilities including wet lab and an education centre to train the future generation of veterinary professionals.

You will join a team that emphasises high-quality patient care, teaching, and collaboration among specialists, veterinarians and nurses. The role offers professional growth and an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-level critical care for patients in Emergency and Critical Care settings.
  • Collaborate with a large team of specialists, veterinarians and nurses to deliver best-standard patient care.
  • Engage in teaching and contribute to training through the on-site education facilities (wet lab and education centre).
  • Support patient management and contribute to the hospital's clinical standards and outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Registered as a specialist in Emergency and Critical Care, Fellow (ANZCVS) or Diplomate (ACVECC, ECVECC).
  • Applicants who have completed residency training are encouraged to apply.
