Purpose of the position
- To conduct on-site audits against the requirements of relevant standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.) or specifications.
- To provide expertise, produce surveillance and initial audit reports, and make recommendations for certification decisions.
- To promote BSI's product offerings and solutions to clients to improve their business performance, manage risk, and promote excellence.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
- Undertake management system audits in accordance with BSI requirements and Our Client Promise.
- Prepare audit reports, deliver findings, and ensure client understanding and corrective actions.
- Recommend certification decisions in line with BSI policies and procedures.
- Lead audit teams, ensuring quality and effective relationships with clients and team members.
- Develop partnerships to secure business and increase client satisfaction.
- Provide accurate information to support services and maintain client records.
- Plan and schedule workloads efficiently to maximize revenue.
- Coach and mentor colleagues, especially less experienced assessors.
- Maintain and develop auditor skills and knowledge of standards.
- Support business development and customer service efforts.
- Act as a brand ambassador, promoting BSI services ethically.
Candidate Specification
- Relevant industry qualifications and experience, with comprehensive knowledge of business processes.
- Understanding of industry compliance.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, flexible, with excellent time management.
- Ability to work under pressure and willingness to travel.
- Team-oriented, with good public speaking and business development skills.
- Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 standards (preferable).
- Experience in quality, environmental, or health & safety management systems (preferable).
- Experience in third-party management systems auditing (preferable).
Key Performance Indicators & Client Promise
- Act as a BSI Brand Ambassador.
- Plan work 3-6 months ahead, book subsequent audits proactively.
- Produce high-quality client reports promptly.
- Complete reports within specified timeframes.
- Identify and discuss opportunities related to BSI products and services.
- Exceed productivity targets and own personal development.
- Maintain excellent client relationships with zero complaints.
