Mining Engineer Vacation Student role offering hands-on experience in Gold Fields' diverse underground and open pit operations in Perth.

Your Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Participate in the Gold Fields Vacation Program from December 2025 to February 2026
  • Engage in tailored mentoring and technical development
  • Receive role-specific training at one of four operational mine sites
  • Learn from an international team of experienced professionals
  • Work on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster in the Perth office or an 8 days on, 6 days off 12-hour shift roster if based on site
About You

What you'll need:

  • Currently enrolled in at least the second year of a Mining Engineering tertiary qualification
  • Hold a C Class Manual Driver's License or be able to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain National Police Clearance
  • Exposure and/or experience in mining or heavy industry is highly regarded
  • Tech-savvy, quick learner, and a team player
  • Comfortable working in remote locations
