Overview

A leading healthcare provider is embarking on a major infrastructure transformation, migrating from legacy systems to a modern, self-managed environment. We're looking for an experienced Technical Architect to lead this initiative across Automating End User Computing (EUC) and Data Centre/Application Migration domains.

Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural planning and execution for:
    • Automating End User Computing (EUC) design and migration
    • Data Centre and Application migration
    • Ability to assist the wider team with VMware
  • Provide strategic guidance on:
    • Windows 11 SOE rollout for new devices
    • Server migration and domain transition
  • Address technical concerns including:
    • LDAP integration
    • Application access continuity
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth migration of:
    • ~120 sites and ~2,200 users
    • ~40 applications (Linux/Windows-based, using protocols like DICOM and HL7)
  • Support infrastructure alignment:
    • New Data Centre setup with stretched VLANs, consistent IP addressing and naming conventions
    • SD-WAN migration (TPG/Fortinet-powered)
    • Telephony solution transition (WinCentral)
Requirements
  • Proven experience in large-scale IT migrations, especially in healthcare or enterprise environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows 11 SOE, and server/domain architecture.
  • Familiarity with healthcare protocols (DICOM, HL7) and application hosting on Linux/Windows.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and advisory skills
  • Ability to work onsite in Chatswood 3 days/week

Duration: Initial 3-month engagement (Immediate start) with potential for extension
