Who You Are

You are a skilled Generator Specialist with experience in installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring reliable power solutions supporting mission success. You excel at diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and conducting preventative maintenance to keep generators operational in any environment.

This is a contingent position based upon contract award

What You'll Do

• Installation and Commissioning: Oversee installation and commissioning of generator systems, ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs to ensure optimal generator performance.

• Diagnostic Testing: Conduct tests to identify issues, using specialized tools for accurate assessment.

• Documentation and Reporting: Keep detailed records of activities and prepare reports for management.

• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols during all operations to ensure a safe work environment.

• Training and Support: Provide technical guidance and training on generator use and maintenance.

• Collaboration: Coordinate with teams to ensure seamless operations during outages or emergencies.

• Inventory Management: Manage spare parts and equipment inventory for timely maintenance.

• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance generator efficiency.

• Emergency Response: Respond promptly to generator failures, providing onsite support to restore power.

Requirements:

• Must be a US or Australian citizen.

• Must have a US Secret clearance or an Australian NV-1 clearance.

• Minimum of five years experience as a generator specialist.

• Certified Generator Mechanic (preferably CAT certified).

• Certified OEM Generator Operator (preferably CAT certified).

• Ability to troubleshoot small and large generators (e.g., Cummins, FG Wilson, Agrrekko, Caterpillar).

• Attention to detail and safety standards.

• Adaptability to changing conditions and technologies.

• Strong decision-making skills under pressure.

Desired Qualifications:

• OEM Power Plant Operator Certification.

• CAT Certification.

This role is based in Alice Springs at a 4,400-acre facility, with 100% onsite work expected.
