The Role:

Our home helps provide assistance with daily activities such as personal care, cleaning, and companionship, ensuring that clients receive the best possible support in the comfort of their own homes.
  • Experience: Previous caregiving experience is preferred with a willingness to provide both housework and personal care noting that the current focus of the role in rural areas is on providing domestic assistance.
  • Reliable & Dependable: Must be punctual and trustworthy, with a commitment to providing the best care possible.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: You'll be working closely with clients and their families, so clear and kind communication is essential.

The Department of Health Tasmania oversees various hospitals across the state, including the Royal Hobart Hospital, Launceston General Hospital, Northwest Regional Hospital, and Mersey Community Hospital, as well as district hospitals and ambulance services. Details of appointments:
  • Permanent part time, day worker position, located at George Town District Hospital working 16 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
  • Permanent part time, day worker position, located at Westbury Community Health Centre working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
  • Permanent part time, day worker position, located at Deloraine Hospital working 20 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as you can join our team.
  • notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $57,130 to $62,486 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
  • Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Salary Packaging:

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.

  • Current Driver's Licence

Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable:
  • Certificate 3 in Individual Support / Aged Care or other relevant qualifications if employed to provide personal care
  • Current first aid certificate
