Overview

The Kaleidoscope Mentor Program connects skilled migrants with experienced professionals who provide guidance on industry practices, networking, and understanding the local job market. Mentors share knowledge and contacts to help newcomers secure well-matched employment in Western Australia. Mentoring does not include finding a mentee for the mentor.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance, industry-related advice, and support to skilled migrants to help them build professional networks and understand recruitment practices locally.
  • Share industry knowledge and contacts to assist mentees in applying for opportunities in Australia.
  • Motivate and support mentees to realise their potential and contribute to their organisations and communities.
  • Commit to a minimum of 24 hours of mentoring over three months (18 hours of mentoring plus a 2-hour training session, and attendance at end-of-cycle events).
  • Participate in program activities and end-of-cycle events as required.
Qualifications
  • Have worked for at least two years in your field/profession/industry in Australia.
  • Be willing to share knowledge, experience, and professional contacts with others.
  • Be mindful of professional legacy and contributions to your organisation and the people who worked with you.

Application Requirements

For this role you will be required to undertake a National Police Check, which will be organised through Red Cross.
